Naty Dayan, PhD in the Board of Directors of the Asian Psychological Association.

 

A Filipino psychologist is in the board of directors of the Asian Psychological Association (APsycA). Dr. Natividad Dayan, a clinical and forensic psychologist, is the treasurer for the organization.  APsyA is a professional society founded in 2005 to bring together psychologists in the rapidly developing countries of Asia with its mission to advance psychology and the application of its scientific findings throughout Asia. To this end, APsyA seeks to strengthen regional and international bonds between psychologists and to promote and to facilitate channels of communication between individual psychologists.

 

APsyA will hold its second convention, June 27-28, 2008 in The Hilton, Petaling Jaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, with the theme,  “Building Asian Families and Communities in the 21st Century” with sub-themes psychological & social changes,  psychological development of youth, adult and the elderly, the psychosocial issues of women & family, culture & changes in values and identity, health & subjective well-being, & religion.
