Search For Outstanding Psychologists 2009
The Psychological Association of the Philippines (PAP) has been giving recognition to distinguished psychologists for their remarkable achievements since its Silver Anniversary in 1988 through the Outstanding Psychologist Award. The PAP has awarded twelve (12) prominent psychologists since.
The PAP continues this tradition of recognizing psychologists who have contributed substantially to the development of the field of Psychology in the Philippines by launching the Search for Outstanding Psychologists for 2009.
Through the Outstanding Psychologist Award, the PAP also aims to support psychologists and encourage them to be active in and dedicated to their field and thus have a meaningful impact on the discipline, their community and society.
Qualifications for the Outstanding Psychologist Award
Nominees for the Outstanding Psychologist Award must:
1. possess good moral character, with unquestionable ethical practice and behavior; and
2. have done outstanding work in the different aspects of the discipline:
a. teaching or training
b. research and publications
c. practice of the profession in one’s area of expertise
d. building institutions and the discipline of Psychology
e. national or international recognition and impact.
Nomination Process
To register nominations for the Outstanding Psychologist Award, please send in a one/ two-paged nomination letter highlighting the qualifications of the nominee and a copy of the nominee’s curriculum vitae to:
